Here we are… So much preparation, and we are nearly ready to celebrate the Holy Night of Our Lord’s Birth. For the last few days, our house has been full of the smells of chestnut stuffing, cranberry sauce, mince pies and this morning, the most divine hot chocolate which we dunked croissants into (thank you Jamie Oliver!). As we prepare our homes, may we also prepare our hearts – may the Christ Child not find a busy, bustling inn with no room for Him, but rather a humble and empty manger ready to be his abode.
